MInute to Win It

We recently had a 'Minute to Win It' party and it was so much fun. We played some of the games that are on the tv show... I still have not seen the tv show but we looked up the games online. I've done these posts so oddly and out of order. The pictures below are of the last game. We taped a pedometer to the forehead and then had to nod 'yes' a bunch of times. I think the highest number we got was in the 170's. It was hilarious. Since it was the last event of the night we added up the count on the girls team and the boys team and determined who won. Every other event had an objective that had to be completed in under a minute. We had the party out on the porch and it was a beautiful day.

This is probably my favorite picture from the night.
Ben looks so happy.
Justin looks happy too.

Talented....

This event is called the candy elevator... 2 pencils with 3 skittles resting on them had to be carefully pulled up to the mouth and eaten. Ben was a champ.
In this charming game the objective is to get three cookies from the forehead to the mouth with no hands in under a minute. Brilliant.

My parents gave the cookie one a try.

Party

This event was hilarious. I forget what it is called, but you put a baseball in one end of panyhose and then put it over your whole face and try to knock down 8 waterbottles in under a minute.
THis is the inch worm game. We had a little obtacle course we had to maneuver around using a bathroom rug.
THis is our friend, Ashley, and she is trying to bounce ping pong balls off the wall and into the bucket on her head. She had to get 3 in under a minute.

Landscaping

This week we have been working on the landscaping in my parents yard. We live in their guest house wich is the section to the left of the garage. We have planted about 20 trees so far and still have quite a few to plant. We have planted somewhere around 300 shrubs. It looks amazing in person... the pictures hardly do it justice. I will post more pictures once the grass is in in a few weeks.

Landscaping Madness

Earlier this week we had a semi truck load of trees and shrubs come in and since then we have been planting, planting, and planting. It has been a lot of fun to see the yard transform. It will look even better once we get the grass in. Here is the progress so far.

The Horse Stampede

Today we went to a horse stampede. There is a company that moves their horses every year from their winter pastures to the summer ones. They run the horses right through main street. There were SO many horses. I didn't realize it was such a big event. People came from some of the near by towns and the whole street was filled with vendors and activities. We enjoyed some great steak sandwiches and funnel cakes. After the horses came through a band played for a while at the hotel. There is even a dance tonight but we have other plans. It was fun to see all the horses. Ben wasn't able to come because he had to work. I had a great time though. I felt pretty cool because a lot of the kids I have subbed for at the school recognized me so I heard, "Hi Mrs. Roberts" at least once every 5 minutes. It was a good time.

Yay for horses.

What a Man!

Ben has been busy working this week. Here is removing a huge tree. It is a lot bigger in real life than in the pictures. He is pretty much awesome. The pictures aren't in any order because I don't know how to move them around.

He is a stud.

Our new Home

Well, inspired from comments on my previous post I have decided to post another one... within a week of the last AND have it be about the move. Wow. I am good.

Ben and I moved to Montana in January. We have started a tree care service here and it is getting busier so we are pretty happy about that. I am substituting at the local school and looking for a job. We love it up here.

Here are some pictures of where we live... I will post more later. This is just what I have. We live in my parent's guest house and so we live next door to them. We share a garage and a porch. It has been a lot of fun. We are currently working on some landscaping so we will have to post pictures when that is done.

I am trying to think what else we have been up too. I am helping coach a softball team. That is pretty exciting. We have had one game and it was a tie. Ben and I both are kept pretty busy with church activities as well.

We are excited about our move and hope our friends come visit us.

Monday Monday

Ben and I woke up on Monday morning to a beautiful day. Neither of us had work so we meandered down to the porch to shoot some guns.

This is me sneaking up on Ben and taking a picture that he didn't know I took.

Me in all of my glory

Another sneaky shot of Ben.

The End.

We... are awesome.

***Missionaries***

We are pretty lucky to be able to see the sister missionaries often, Sister Stalions and Sister Nichols. My parents had them over for dinner recently and we had a good time.

We told them to have their families look at this blog so we will try to put more pictures of them on it in the future. Sister Nichols just arrived recently and we haven't gotten to know her very well yet but she seems very nice. Sister Stalions has been here since we moved here a few months ago and we love her. She is such a great person and we are lucky to know her.

Sorry, the picture was taken with my phone. Next time I'll get a better quality picture.
